Yoga, for me, is a transformative practice
that integrally stretches and strengthens my body, mind
and spirit. As a devoted practitioner since attending
my first class, it is a joy to now share this practice
with others. I have always been committed to physical,
mental and spiritual wellness and self-awareness, and
appreciate that yoga so integrally cultivates these
in one discipline of grace. I see yoga as an opportunity
to become aware of and attend to oneself-to strengths
and weaknesses, growth and limitations, injuries and
healing-and to nurture patience, peace and gratitude
both on and off the yoga mat.
As a teacher I enjoy creating a safe
and yet challenging space for this holistic exploration
and growth. I was first drawn to the graceful and powerful
movements of vinyasa flow and my classes weave these
elements with a focus on breath mindfulness and intention.
My aim is for students to listen to themselves as they
cultivate strength, grace, freedom, gratitude, intention,
and relaxation.
I continue to learn and grow in my
understanding of yoga through my own practice, and various
workshops and classes. Yoga, I find, cultivates a lifestyle
of gratitude, calmness and focus for the mind, strength
and healing for the body, and inspiration and endurance
for the spirit. I aspire to nurture these qualities
in students.
