Asana - Singular immobile bodily posture that a person assumes in an attempt to isolate the mind by freeing it from attention to bodily functions. The third of the eight stages intended to lead the aspirant to samadhi, the trancelike state of perfect concentration. Private Class- Permission needed prior to the day attending. ~ 30 minutes ~

Ashtanga - is the system of Yoga taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore, India. This method of Yoga involves synchronizing the breath with progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind. ~ 90+ minutes ~

Gentle Yoga – Focused on beginners and those looking to unwind gently. This class is based on the Feldenkrais Method and at a slower place to allow the new student to learn the integration of breathing and moving with safe alignment and focus. A supportive class open to all students looking to learn and refine their practice. ~ 75 to 90 minutes ~

Hatha - If you are new to yoga this class will help introduce you to yoga or continue your path, hatha yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in America. It is the branch of yoga which concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dyana) with the intention of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. There are nearly 200 hatha yoga postures, with hundreds of variations, which work to make the spine supple and to promote circulation in all the organs, glands, and tissues. Hatha yoga postures also stretch and align the body, promoting balance and flexibility. ~ 60 to 75 minutes ~

Hot Flow – Room is heated to 80+ degrees which adds a more dynamic and releasing aspect to a flowing yoga class. Breath awareness, meditation, alignment, and relaxation. Hot Flow classes emphasize breathing in motion, releasing and flowing as a release in transition. The flowing comes from your mind while the releasing begins with the skin. A challenging class for those with a regular yoga practice. ~ 75 to 90 minutes ~

Hot Yoga 26 - is the Bikram Yoga style of twenty-six Hatha Yoga postures and two Pranayama breathing exercises designed to provide a challenging, invigorating, rejuvenating and effective yoga experience. During this 90 minute class, you will work every muscle, tendon, ligament, joint and internal organ in the entire body, giving you an incredible sense of well being taught by a trained Bikram Yoga Teacher. ~ 90 minutes ~

Conducted in a heated room, Bikram Yoga detoxifies the body through perspiration, tones the muscles and flushes every cell and organ in the body. Whatever your age, injury, or prior yoga experience (if any at all), this yoga will benefit your body and mind in ways you never imagined possible!

Hot Yoga -A mix of pranayama and asana layered with pulsating energy. Poetic dialogue immerses the student into themselves. A primal practice of pure indulgence and release. Room heated to 105+ degrees with Bio-Energy* Heat. Bring water, a towel, and a mat. Plan to sweat! Detoxifying, enlivening and mind awakening! ~ 75 to 90 minutes ~

Plus, your body will enjoy the health-promoting properties of bio-energy heat, which facilitates healthy skin, cell regeneration and healthy circulation. If attending Michael's HOT YOGA please keep in mind that class can get crowded, you'll want to show up 15-20 minutes early, to make sure you get a spot.

LSD - Short for Long Slow & Deep or commonly referred to as Yin Yoga. This class will help you learn the areas of your anatomy deeply and safely. Everyone who attends this class is astonished at not how far they go, but what they learn! As a compliment to your usual practice or your only practice; this is a deep exploration into yourself. ~ 120+ minutes ~

Meditation - A class that will give you a chance to take care of yourself, to step away from the noise and chaos of everyday life and go inward. Use this time as a tool to invite more peace into your life and the lives of others. An excellent way to prepare for your yoga practice or close your practice. ~ 30 to 90 minutes ~ SUNDAYS & Fridays- 30 MINUTES ~

Open Flow Yoga / Vinyasa - Open your mind and flow with your body is the essence of this practice. Open class consists of flowing hatha yoga sequences partnered with contemporary teachings, breath awareness, meditation, hands-on alignment, and relaxation. Open Flow classes emphasize breathing in motion, or meditation in motion. The flowing grace comes from your heart while the opening starts with your mind. ~ 75 to 90 minutes ~

Open Flow II / Outside Flow - Differs from an All Levels or Open Flow in the degree of focus and we practice outdoors for outside flow. Having the basics of your body mastered will allow the extra time to work on more advanced poses. This is a private class. Permission is needed prior to day of attendance.

Power Yoga - Power Yoga practice consists of flowing hatha yoga sequences that tap into the true "Power" in yoga which does not come from the physical strength. The power comes from the mental strength, in learning, knowing and trusting yourself. ~ 75 to 90 minutes ~

Pranayama - Translated as prana or breath control. The ancient yogis developed many breathing techniques to maximize the benefits of prana. Pranayama is used in yoga as a separate practice to help clear and cleanse the body and mind. It is also used in preparation for meditation, and in asana,the practice of postures, to help maximize the benefits of the practice, and focus the mind. ~ 45 to 60 minutes ~

Silent Music Hot Yoga - The traditional Hot Yoga 26 Sequence with music and no talking. Students need to be familiar with sequence (at least 10 classes) before taking this class. *not recommended for first-time students because there is no-dialogue guiding the pose sequence.* ~90 minutes~
Sun Salutations – The Sanskrit word for Sun Salutation is Surya Namaskar. Surya means "Sun," and "Namaskar" is a greeting of honor and respect to the divinity present in each one of us. 1/3 of the classic 108 salutations will be practiced to welcome the Sun. ~ 45 minutes ~

Yoga - Any of the methods or disciplines prescribed, esp. a series of postures and breathing exercises practiced to achieve control of the body and mind, tranquillity, etc. Union of the self with the Supreme Being or ultimate principle. ~ 75 to 90 minutes ~
